It's not even that bad, its just incredibly uninteresting story due to the horrible tendency of disaster movies to focus on a billion different characters. Carriers worked because it didn't pay any attention to science and kept its focus to 4 characters trying to survive. This movie has a million different star studded focus that does have a very believable scenario with very believable results, but has no characters interesting enough to want to support them. The only fun character was Jude Law's, and after you realize he's an incredibly unlikable person, you lose all interest in him as well. Still, check it out for a realistic display of such a scenario. Hate the characters, hate the dialogue, enjoy the realism. And enjoy some performances from the minor characters and some good cinematography (although I really do enjoy how all the security footage in a casino conveniently focuses on Paltrow from about 7 different angles. And it's wonderfully satisfying to see my least favorite actress die within the first 5 minutes or so).
