This pulled off the biggest sin of January action movies. It was BORING. Genuinely boring. No one was going into this movie to see feelings, they were going to see Mark Wahlberg kick butt and shoot people. Instead we got a lot of little buddy-buddy scenes, scenes where not much really happened, or scenes with Wahlberg threatening someone for threatening him or his family. Even the premise itself seems forced, like Hollywood desperately wanted to make some movie for Wahlberg to star in. And that's NOT a good sign considering this is based off of another film. I was talking to a lot of people about it, and it seems I'm not alone in being bored with this lazy movie. And it had such a dumb ending. I'm done with stupid endings. Go see Beauty and the Beast. It's far more worth it.
