Friends With Benefits

3.5/5

It's pretty funny, although sometimes humor is lost and a bit misplaced. I laughed a lot, Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake are incredibly funny together, and they have really great chemistry as a couple. You cheer for them from the first moment they're together on screen. I like how the film became less of a question of "could it work" and more of a question of "could it work with two emotionally unstable people", considering that there's really no reason to believe it won't work with two emotionally satisfied people. There was genuine reason to feel for characters instead of forcing yourself to buy their emotional crap as the reason to have sympathy for them. I liked it, it's worth checking out, and it's a heck of an improvement over the similarly plotted "No Strings Attached."
