It certainly wasn't bad. It was dark, with really rich characters and wonderfully blunt direction with just a bit of a stylistic touch from David Fincher. But it also didn't do all that much for me. It had a lot of long, seemingly pointless scenes, it didn't go anywhere, and it really didn't wanna end. By the end, I felt a bit let down by the storytelling. But what it lost with its somewhat boring story, it regained with absolutely wonderful acting and a great sense of style. It was difficult to watch for its violence, it was fun to learn about the characters as it went on. I can see Fincher getting a nom for best director, and I think he deserves it.
