Crazy, Stupid, Love

4.5/5

I absolutely loved this movie. Steve Carell is funny and sweet, not unlike his role as Andy in The 40 Year Old Virgin. Ryan Gosling is the most likable asshole you can possibly imagine. Put them together, and you'll actually see more of the interactions I'd want to have seen in The Changeup, even though this movie has nothing to do with switching bodies or anything. I love the 13 year old son, who's sweet and cute to cheer for but also incredibly funny in the way he chases his "true love". Emma Stone plays a cute, sweet, funny character who you love from the second she's on screen. I love Emma Stone. She's extremely pretty so you can be attracted to her, but at the same time if you see her in roles like Skeeter in The Help, you can believe that even though she's pretty now, there's a possibility no boy asked her to the dance in high school. I love the twists and turns this movie takes, I absolutely adore the chemistry between Gosling and Stone. Steve Carell Julianne Moore can both be irritating and perfect for each other when the script calls for it to be, this is just all around a feel great, well written, funny, and surprising movie for anyone, including a family.
