This is as middle of the road as my feelings get. Its fun enough, its cool enough, its got enough of a story, characters are interesting enough, etc. Its as close to the original as you can get without being annoying. Its as much of a musical as you can allow without annoying the country. Its just fine. The weaknesses are in the choreographed music in a setting that it doesn't work. In a musical you buy it, in this you don't. And Kenny Wormwald, who I have no clue about, isn't nearly as charismatic or as energetic as Kevin Bacon. But that's no surprise. All in all, I don't think i can recommend it. But if you go to see it or end up seeing it with your friends, you probably won't regret it as much as maybe wish you put your money to another movie.
